Tonight in Lawrence, Kansas the University of Kansas No. 3 Jayhawks (24-5, 12-4) play the Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-13, 5-11) for senior night and Kansas’s final home game of the season.

The game will begin at 8 p.m. CT on ESPN.

After the game, the Jayhawks will be awarded the Big 12 Conference Title along with speeches by Coach Bill Self and the two graduates. Kevin McCullar Jr. and 2022 National Champion Jalen Wilson will be honored throughout the night. Wilson said, “My emotions will be all over the place. I might be bawling.”

After pulling out of the NBA draft last year, Wilson is expected to declare for the 2023-2024 season. The future remains unknown for McCullar. Today, McCullar was named a semi-finalist for the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.

Kansas remains favored for tonight, however on January 3rd, only 3 points separated them and Texas Tech. Allen Fieldhouse will be to the Jayhawks advantage tonight as it remains the loudest and greatest homecourt advantage to date. Coach Bill Self has a record of 292-16 at home, this season being 15-1.

Eyes continue to be on the 2022 National Champions as the countdown to March Madness begins.
