1.Don’t be afraid of hats. You’re not in high school anymore, so throw out those rules and pick up a simple beanie (especially if you have bed head or second day hair.) or a baseball cap. Then you’re set for class.
2. Bundle on up. Scarves are literally one of the best things on this earth. I am quite biased being a pro-scarf person, but trust me. It doubles as fashion and warmth. My favorite is a flannel printed scarf, you can look stylish while being cozy!
3. A cardigan or sweater can spice up any old outfit. If you look down and see yourself wearing sweatpants or joggers, throw on a nice sweater and it instantly looks like you tried. (Tie #2 together with this one and you will look good.)
4. Booties. Okay, boots are so in right now, no matter if you have a pair of Chelsea boots (our friend, Harry Styles knows how to rock those) or ankle booties, they really dress up any outfit you are wearing. Let’s say you are wearing jeans, a sweater, and scarf. What else pulls this together? The shoes! Booties keep your feet warm and they look sweet.
5. Jewelry. Don’t blow this one off guys and gals! A statement necklace can make all the change in this situation. Leaving the house with a t-shirt, jeans, booties and a statement piece of jewelry looks well put together (especially for a college student!) You can play around with this one in lots of ways. A nice watch, bracelet, earrings, or necklace can come into play with this.
6. Graphics, graphics, graphics. Those graphic tees that are sitting in your dresser right now, dig those puppies out. They are so helpful with making a boring ol’ outfit so much better and appealing. If you want to tie in a scarf or sweater along with this, you have a nice outfit.
7. Socks. Yes, something as simple as socks is perfect for someone on the go. You are most likely already wearing them, so why not invest in some boot socks or the frilly socks that have lace trim. They can peak out of your boots or shoe of choice, and it looks like you tried!
Alrighty, friends. Hopefully these quick tips will help you if you are in desperate need of a fashion makeover even if you don’t have the time for it. Remember, something that is super simple can make all the difference.
