1. Park Farther Away
I know this seems like a lot of work, especially when you’re running late! If you take time and leave earlier, you can park in the very back lot and get a brief walk or run to and from your car.
2. Bike, Walk, or Run to School
If you live close to campus, it would be extremely beneficial to walk, run, or bike to Anoka Ramsey. There are bike ramps at school to make it as convenient as possible as well as a really nice path all down Coon Rapids Blvd! This way you get a good exercise in, it saves on gas, AND it helps the environment. There’s also bus transportation on campus! The 852 bus also goes down Coon Rapids Blvd and you can get a discount bus pass at the Bookstore.
3. Use the Gym
Park of your tuition is paying for a nice workout room! All you have to do is show the person at the desk your student ID! It’s perfect for in between classes when there’s nothing to do, or when you’re trying to avoid homework. It’s located in the Health and Wellness Center!
4. Take a Fitness Class
Another free way to exercise is to take a class! Classes like zumba, yoga, & functional fitness are offered on campus for free! Each class is about 30-50 minutes long and is a great workout! Also, there are classes as gym credits. You can earn a college credit or two just for working out! It’s a great way to learn new workouts and get some exercise without having to leave campus! The classes are all listed online!
