On Friday, Jan. 29, the Pro-Life Club from ARCC Coon Rapids failed to make an appearance at its own event. They were to host a cupcake giveaway in the Business and Nursing Bulge to promote their club. This event was advertised on the monitors throughout campus to occur from 10a.m.-noon.
ARCC student Becca Larson, who also serves on ARCC’s Student Senate was very shocked at this.
“They came to our meeting this week and asked for $300 for a cupcake booth,” said Larson.
Joyce Traczyk, ARCC coordinator of student activities, said she was also unaware of why the club was absent from the bulge.
The club’s office was empty during this time, but when asked for a comment on this, ARCC student contact for the club, Sarah Becker, explained the club’s
side of the story.
“We decided to move the event to this Friday, just due to some scheduling issues. The event is definitely still happening,” said Becker.
The Pro-Life Club will be having their event this Friday, Feb. 5, from 10a.m.-noon in the Business and Nursing Bulge at ARCC Coon Rapids.
