Complementary and Alternative Medicine (new club!)
CAM (Complementary and Alternative Medicine) Club wants to share information about this emerging field with you. We are a friendly, knowledgeable group of students who take pride in our health. As humans, we are in constant flux of change and our adaptation skills need to be regularly replenished. CAM Club strives to learn new ways to deal with the stressers of everyday life and incorporate complementary ideas that aide in maintaining overall health of both the mind and the body.
CAM Club is presenting a 60 minute class on how to make your own Kombucha. Bryan Bertsch will be presenting students with basic knowledge about the beverage. He will be sending us home with a simple, study guide and an optional starter culture to begin our Kombucha adventure right away. This will be a fun interactive class with samplings of different kinds of kombucha. Be ready to learn something healthy AND fun! The optional starter culture will be available for $5 material fees.
The meeting will be held in room VA 117 on Monday, March 2nd from 4:30p-5:30pm at the Coon Rapids Campus. We hope to see you there!
Please watch for upcoming events later on this spring. If you have any interest in learning more about CAM Club or our upcoming events please feel free to contact me, President, Amber Petitt at [email protected] or CAM Club Advisor, Valerie Lis at [email protected]u.
