Owens, Tinnel Earn MCAC Honors

Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball players Rodney Owens and Albert Tinnel earned MCAC honors as voted on by the league coaches for their performance during the regular season.

Owens was named both All-Southern Division and All-MCAC, while Tinnel was named All-Southern Division.

The All-Southern Division team is comprised of the top 14 players in the Southern Division, while All-MCAC is the top 14 players from both the Southern and Northern divisions.

Owens averaged a team-best 14.5 points per game while shooting 57 percent from the field – good for third in the MCAC.  Owens also led Anoka-Ramsey with 6.9 rebounds per game, the 12th best mark in the league.

Tinnel was second on the Golden Rams in scoring with 11.2 points per game while shooting 55.6 percent, and added 5.9 rebounds per game.
