Golden Rams Roll Past Ridgewater

The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team bounced back in a big way after their first conference loss, beating Ridgewater 93-48 on Wednesday evening.

After the Warriors scored the first basket of the game, Anoka-Ramsey went on a 16-0 run and led 23-6 after the first quarter.

The second quarter was much of the same as Ridgewater shot just 17.6 percent in the period leading to a 50-13 Anoka-Ramsey advantage at halftime.

The lead expanded to 40 points early in the third quarter and the Golden Rams cruised to victory.

Anoka-Ramsey shot 47.6 percent overall and forced 20 Ridgewater turnovers while committing as season-low four.

Janea Arnoldi scored 21 points, adding nine rebounds.

Sydney Kehr scored 18 points on 7 of 13 shooting to go with nine rebounds.

Destiny Casey added 17 points and 12 rebounds.

Mikayla Kanenwisher scored 16 points while dishing out nine assists.

Anoka-Ramsey improves to 12-3 overall, 2-1 in the MCAC.

The Golden Rams will host Minnesota West on Sunday at 1:00pm
