Golden Rams Win Ninth Straight Game

The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team won their ninth straight game to begin the season, remaining unbeaten with a 71-50 road victory over Rainy River on Saturday.

The Golden Rams trailed 19-11 after the first quarter and held a slim lead at halftime before breaking the game open in the third quarter.

Anoka-Ramsey held Rainy River to just 29.8 percent shooting and forced 24 turnovers.

The Golden Rams held a 20-10 edge in made free throws, and outrebounded the Voyageurs 47-35.

CeCe Bell led all scorers with 16 points making 12 of 16 free throws to go with nine rebounds.

Kimori Morris added 15 points on 5 of 8 shooting along with four rebounds and four assists.

Sydney Kehr scored 13 points.

The Golden Rams are 9-0 and will host Bismarck St on Saturday and Joliet on Sunday.
