Mens Soccer Earns Conference and Region Accolades

The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Soccer team had five players earn honors from the MCAC and NJCAA Region XIII for their performance during the 2022 season.

Claudy Zau was named All-MCAC, All-Region XIII, MCAC Player of the Year, and Region XIII MVP as a forward.  Zau leads the Golden Rams with 11 goals on the season, four of them game-winners and is second in the MCAC in goals scored.

Martin Garr was named All-MCAC and All-Region XIII.  Garr leads both the team and MCAC with ten assists on the season, to go along with two goals.

Reece Lawler was named All-MCAC and All-Region XIII.  Lawler has a MCAC-leading .854 save percentage only allowing six goals against for an average of 0.86 per game.

Lokeng Moua was named All-MCAC and All-Region XIII.  Moua had a strong season orchestrating the Golden Ram offense from the midfield and has three assists on the season.

Dylan Nguyen was named All-MCAC.  Nguyen anchored a stingy Golden Ram defense that allowed only 14 goals in 13 games including four shutouts.

In addition to the player honors, head coach Qassim Ilmi was named NJCAA Region XIII Coach of the Year after leading Anoka-Ramsey to the Region XIII title and an 11-1-1 overall record heading into the Midwest District tournament.
