MN West Tops Golden Rams 80-74

The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team fell 80-74 to Minnesota West on Saturday afternoon in a foul-plagued matchup.

The Golden Rams were whistled for 31 fouls compared to 16 for the Lady Jays, resulting in a 46-15 advantage for Minnesota West in free throw attempts.  The Lady Jays converted 31 of their free throws compared to ten for the Golden Rams.

Anoka-Ramsey made 12 of 31 three-point attempts (38.7 percent) but just 14 of 49 two-point attempts (28.5 percent).

Four Golden Rams scored in double figures with Demaiyah Hill and CeCe Bell each leading the way with 16 apiece.  Hailey Babcock and Sydney Kehr each scored 15 points.

Anoka-Ramsey falls to 13-6 overall, 4-5 in the MCAC Southern Division and hosts Rochester on Monday, February 7 at 6:30pm.
