Women’s 

The 11-5 women’s AnokaRamsey basketball team won their game on Jan. 25 against the St. Cloud Technical and Community College Cyclones, 71-65.

The Cyclones held on to a close lead throughout the game until the last four minutes where the Golden Rams climbed up the scoreboard with a 11-0 point run to end the game and continue their winning streak at home. The Golden Rams improved to a 12-5 record and remained undefeated in the conference with a 3-0 record. The Cyclones had an 8-5 record with a 2-2 record in the conference.

Men’s

The 8-8 men’s AnokaRamsey basketball team played Rochester Community and Technical College on Jan. 22 and St. Cloud on Jan. 25. 

The Rams started out game against Rochester trying to end their two-game losing streak. The Yellowjackets were third place in the MCAC Southern division. The Rams were able to keep a competitive game, but Rochester built up a 14point run seven minutes into the second half. The Yellowjackets won, 75-62. 

The men’s team also lost to No. 5 NJCAA-ranked St Cloud who were undefeated in division and conference play with a 16-0 record. The Golden Rams had home court advantage over the Cyclones trying to end their big streak. The Rams opened their first half with a 43.8 percentage from the field and the Cyclones with 41.4 percent keeping it close with the division leaders. During the second half, the Rams suffered a late game collapse and the Cyclones went on a 19-3 run. The Golden Rams could not recover. The Golden Rams fell to an 8-10 record and 1-4 record in the conference.
