The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball dropped their final regular season game 87-69 to Rochester, but still clinched a spot in the NJCAA Region XIII tournament with losses by Ridgewater and St. Cloud Tech.
The Golden Rams finished the season 7-7 in the Southern Division, tied for 3rd with St. Cloud Tech. However the Golden Rams hold the tie-breaker over the Cyclones and will be the #3 seed from the South.
Anoka-Ramsey could not get the offense flowing in the loss to Rochester, shooting 37.9 percent overall and just 5 of 19 from the three-point line.
Rochester won the rebounds 46-27 including a 14-6 edge in offense boards.
Four Golden Rams finished in double figures scoring led by 14 points from Micah Adkins.
Chaz Franklin scored 13 points, with Dominick Love adding 12 and Ibrahim El-Amin chipping in with ten points.
Anoka-Ramsey is 13-14 overall and will host the NJCAA Region XIII Tournament March 1 – 3.
