The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball team started slow and couldn’t recover in losing 79-52 to Rochester on Wednesday evening.
Anoka-Ramsey fell behind 44-16 at halftime as the offense struggled to produce points. The Golden Rams shot just 17.9 percent in the opening 20 minutes compared to 57.1 percent for Rochester.
The second half fared better as the Golden Rams outscored the Yellowjackets 36-35 thanks in part to forcing nine second half turnovers and taking 11 more shots than Rochester.
For the game, Rochester still finished above 50% from the field and won the rebound battle 40-33.
Micah Adkins scored 13 points and pulled in nine rebounds.
Anoka-Ramsey drops to 10-10 overall, 4-3 in the MCAC Southern Division and is off until January 31 when they host Ridgewater at 7:00pm.
