Women’s Basketball Tops M|State 60-48

The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team went on the road and picked up a key win over M|State Fergus Falls 60-48 on Wednesday evening.
With the win, the Golden Rams move into 4th place in the Southern Division and hold a series sweep over the Spartans.
Anoka-Ramsey used a big second quarter to take command, outscoring the Spartans 19-5 in the period, then held off a late rally for the win.
The Golden Rams are down to six players currently due to injuries and battled all night to get the win thanks largely to a 20-10 edge in made free throws.
Anoka-Ramsey out-rebounded M|State 40-30 including 11-4 in offensive rebounds.
Kimori Morris scored 19 points on 5 of 7 shooting, 3 of 4 from three, and 6 of 7 from the free throw line.
Janea Arnoldi had 12 points and 12 rebounds. CeCe Bell added 12 points.
Anoka-Ramsey improves to 13-4 overall, and due to rescheduled games will now embark on a stretch of three road games in a five day span starting at Minnesota West on Saturday.
