The ARCC Rams were led by Rashonna Thomas and Lexus Hughes, who each had 21 in their February 17 at-home win over the Cavaliers at 101-48.
Everything was going right for the Rams in this one as they jolted right out to a 23-10 first quarter lead. It only got worse for the Cavaliers as they went down 19 at the half. ARCC then stretched the lead to 30 and then eventually 42 at the beginning of the fourth quarter.
The Cavaliers played sloppy basketball all night, committing a whopping 27 turnovers to ARCC’s measly eight. Three players for the Rams, Rashonna Thomas, Lexus Hughes and Makayla Paggen, combined for more points than the entire Cavaliers’ team. It was complete dominance by the Rams all night.
The 53 point win was the biggest win for the Rams this year, surpassing their 52 point win against Ridgewater College in their most recent game on Feb. 13.
They locked up their number one seed in the last game and will go into the tournament with a dominant last regular season game.
