The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team traveled to Fort Dodge, IA to face two NJCAA Division II teams, and fell to both. All three losses this season have come to higher-division NJCAA teams.
On Friday the Golden Rams lost 66-49 to Highland Community College (KS), and dropped a 64-54 decision to North Platte Community College on Saturday.
Against the undefeated Highland squad, Anoka-Ramsey shot 36.5 percent overall and committed 28 turnovers in the defeat.
Mariam Alowonie scored 12 points to go with seven rebounds. Sydney Hazuga scored 11 points making 3 of 9 three point attempts.
In the decision vs. North Platte the Golden Rams had 33 turnovers while shooting 34 percent overall. Solid defense kept Anoka-Ramsey in the game as they held their opponent to 31.3 percent shooting and won the rebound battle 46-41.
Bella Kanz scored 15 points while adding ten rebounds. Alowonie and O’Ciana Johnson each scored nine points.
Anoka-Ramsey falls to 4-3 overall and will travel to MN North-Mesabi Range on Tuesday, November 26.
