The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball team shot 50.8 percent on their way to a 91-87 win over St. Cloud Tech on Saturday afternoon.
The Golden Rams entered the contest one game behind the Cyclones in the MCAC Southern Division standings, but now stand tied for third with one game left in the regular season.
Anoka-Ramsey sits a game ahead of Ridgewater, who is in fifth, with the top 4 advancing to the MCAC/Region XIII tournament.
The Golden Rams trailed early, but rallied to take a one point lead at halftime.
Anoka-Ramsey fell behind 73-72 with just under five minutes to play before a 8-0 run gave them a seven point lead.
A Micah Adkins dunk extended the lead to nine points with a little over a minute to play with the Cyclones only getting as close as the final four point margin.
Anoka-Ramsey won the rebound battle convincingly 51-35 and overcame 19 turnovers by making 20 free throws, to 15 for St. Cloud Tech.
Adkins scored 22 points on 9 of 18 shooting.
Chaz Franklin had a double double with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Ibrahim El-Amin tallied 18 points on 7 of 14 shooting to go with nine rebounds.
Dominick Love had 11 points, and Derrick Love added ten.
