The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball team took a 31 point lead into halftime, then held on for a 88-77 win over Western Tech on Wednesday evening.
The Golden Rams shot 55.3 percent in the first half while holding the Cavaliers to just 25 percent and forcing 13 turnovers.
Anoka-Ramsey extended the lead to as many as 38 in the second half and outrebounded Western Tech 51-44.
Ibrahim El-Amin and J’son Saeed’El paced Anoka-Ramsey with 14 points apiece. El-Amin added four steals, Saaed’El had four assists.
Derrick Love scored 13 points and hauled in 12 rebounds.
Micah Adkins tallied 12 points, with Tearrel Fields scoring 8 points with 11 rebounds.
Anoka-Ramsey is 10-8 overall, 4-1 in the MCAC Southern Division and will travel to St. Cloud Tech on Saturday.
