The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team defeated M|State Fergus Falls 66-45 to get back on a winning track after dropping their last two games.
The Golden Rams jumped out to an early 15-0 lead, and while the Spartans chipped away staying within striking distance, Anoka-Ramsey never trailed.
M|State pulled within five points midway thru the third quarter but Anoka-Ramsey went on a run to take a 14 point lead late in the third and the Spartans never threatened again.
Anoka-Ramsey forced 33 turnovers by generating 28 steals and held M|State to just 1 of 7 from the three-point line.
Alani Pettis scored 21 points on 9 of 17 shooting and recorded eight steals.
Makayla Holten scored 14 points making 5 of 11 shots and adding five steals.
Jordan McMahon and Alex McNeill each scored nine points.
Anoka-Ramsey improves to 13-3 overall, 1-1 in the MCAC Southern Division.
