The Anoka-Ramsey Men’s Basketball team picked up a road victory in their first MCAC Southern Division game of the season as they topped Ridgewater 88-81 on Wednesday evening.
Anoka-Ramsey shot 50.8 percent overall, and made 18 of 21 foul shots to secure the win.
The Golden Rams led by four at halftime and used a 9-0 run midway thru the second half to break a tie. Ridgewater managed to pull within one point on a couple occasions but Anoka-Ramsey used timely free throw shooting to hold off the host Warriors.
Micah Adkins scored 19 points on 8 of 15 shooting to go with seven rebounds.
Ibrahim El-Amin scored 19 points making 7 of 8 free throws while adding five assists.
Chaz Franklin scored 18 points making 7 of 13 field goals.
Derrick Love had a team-high ten rebounds.
Anoka-Ramsey evens their overall record at 7-7, and is 1-0 in the MCAC.
