The Anoka-Ramsey Women’s Basketball team won their fifth straight game to open the season, a 93-25 win over MN North Mesabi Range on Wednesday night.
Anoka-Ramsey jumped out to an early lead and didn’t look back in holding the Norse to single digits in each quarter.
The Golden Rams shot 46.9 percent overall and forced 39 turnovers, 24 of them coming on steals.
Anoka-Ramsey also made a season-high 11 threes, connecting on 35.5 percent from beyond the arc.
All five starters scored in double figures led by Alani Pettis with 23 points on 9 of 10 shooting to go with 12 rebounds and six assists.
Makayla Holten scored 14 points on 7 of 11 with four steals.
Izzy Hall put up 13 points making 3 of 6 threes to go with three steals.
Alex McNeil tallied 11 points, and Bella Kanz chipped in with ten points.
Anoka-Ramsey is #5 in the latest NJCAA DIII poll and with host Grace Christian on Monday, November 20 at 5:30pm.
