The Anoka-Ramsey women’s softball team got off to a rough start in their first month of the season. They went 2-10, but have bounced back very nicely since returning from their trip to Florida. They are 13-2 in their past 15 games and have outscored opponents by an average of four runs in those games. Freshman infielder Ashton Prachar is leading the team in hitting and is batting .458 on the season and is second on the team with 20 RBIs.
Sophomore pitcher Quincy Gross is the team’s top pitcher. She is leading the Rams pitching staff with six wins and three losses and a very good ERA of 3.63. She also earned Pitcher of the Week honors when she had two complete game wins and a save during the week of April 4-11.
The team has finished out April very strong and are looking to continue that pace headed into their final stretch of games. They are 9-1 in their conference as of April 18.
