ARCC Golden Rams Men’s Basketball team Victorious Over Riverland

For a second straight game going to overtime the ARCC men’s basketball team, the Golden Rams, came out victorious against Riverland. With an up tempo first half the rams were leading 37-24 at the break. Riverland would slowly crawl back in and tie the game with 1:24 on the clock as they rallied 8 straight points to knot it at 61.
Falmata Tula was fouled with 7 seconds on the clock and would sink both free throws giving Anoka-Ramsey a 63-61 lead. It was all in the hands of the Rams defense now, but they couldn’t stop Riverland as they scored a layup in the waning seconds to send the game into overtime.
Overtime was huge for the Rams as they outscored Riverland 15-8 and secured their twelth win of the year and are now 12-8.
A big note from the game: Riverland had 7 missed free throws, the final score was 78-71.
Collin Price led Anoka with 18 points on an efficient 5-11 shooting in 22 minutes of play. Riverland was led by Marcus Myers who had 28 points on 11-27 shooting in 43 minutes of play. Anoka-Ramsey’s bench outscored Riverland’s 25-13.
